Thank you for your interest in the artworks of ART THAT MATTERS. Whether you are a private collector, a curator, or a first-time buyer, we are dedicated to ensuring that your experience of acquiring art is as seamless and inspiring as the artwork itself.

To guarantee the highest professional standards in sales and administration, all transactions on this site are handled and monitored by ART THAT MATTERS.

1. Craftsmanship & Production Time

Unlike mass-produced items, every piece in this collection is created exclusively for you upon order. We adhere to strict museum-quality standards to ensure longevity and visual brilliance.

  • The Process: Your artwork undergoes a specialized production process (such as Giclée printing, Dibond mounting and framing, Plexiglass, Diasec®, etc) depending on your selection.
  • The Timeline: Because quality takes time, please allow for a production period of 5 to 28 days. Once your work has passed our final quality inspection, it will be prepared for shipment.

2. Worldwide Shipping & Handling

We are experienced in shipping fine art to collectors around the globe. Your artwork is packaged with the utmost care to withstand the journey, regardless of the destination.

Shipping Costs

We strive to keep shipping transparent and fair.

  1. The Netherlands: We are based in the Netherlands as our many of our artists at the moment.
  2. International: Shipping costs estimations are calculated automatically at checkout. The fee depends on your Shipping Zone (see below) and the specific dimensions and weight of the artwork you have chosen. We will communicate with you about the exact shipping cost before we send an invoice that finalizes the order. The order is only valid after your payment has been received, so you can change your mind at any time (unless agreed upon differently).

Delivery Time

Once your artwork leaves the studio, transit times are typically: Netherlands & EU: 1 to 3 business days. International/Global: 3 to 7 business days (depending on customs processing).

3. Returns, Exchanges & Satisfaction Policy

We want you to be absolutely thrilled with your new acquisition. We accept returns and exchanges for both defective and non-defective products.

The 14-Day Reflection Period

In accordance with EU consumer laws, you generally have a reflection period of 14 days starting the day after you receive the work. During this time, you may inspect the artwork as you would in a physical gallery. To be eligible for a return, products must be in new condition.

Return Process and Costs

Returns can be made either in-store or by mail. Please note that return shipping labels are the responsibility of the customer. We do not charge any restocking fees. Once we have received your return, the refund processing time takes up to 14 days.

Important: Custom & Made-to-Order Exceptions

Please note that the majority of works offered on this platform are custom-made to your specifications (e.g., specific sizing, Diasec mounting, or custom framing).

Standard Works:

If a work is purchased from existing stock (non-customized), it is eligible for return within 14 days.

Custom Works:

Works that are manufactured specifically for you based on your individual choice of size and finish are exempt from the standard right of withdrawal. This ensures that we can maintain the exclusivity and pristine condition of every piece we create.

If you are unsure whether your desired piece is considered "custom," please feel free to contact us before purchasing.

Damage or Defects

In the unlikely event that your artwork arrives damaged or with a production error, the exceptions above do not apply. We stand by our quality 100%. Please contact us immediately, and we will arrange for a replacement or solution.

4. Secure Payment & Administration

Your payment and invoice are processed securely by ART THAT MATTER. We ensure that all administrative details, including VAT and export documentation for international shipments, are handled correctly.
