The Illusion Of Tolerance In Contemporary Portraiture

The visual narrative crafted by ARJAN SPANNENBURG consistently investigates the fragile construct of identity within modern society. As MAX states in his own reflection: I know from experience as a homosexual that this is something that is said so that we can all feel good as a people, but the reality is painful and uncomfortable.
